addict

Contributed by blackholesun on Sunday, 11th July 2004 @ 04:38:42 PM in AEST
Topic: drugabuse

pop the pill, take the toke, cut another line of coke.
looking at others they are such loosers, puffin that blunt your a chooser,
you have few friends except for Mary Jane and when she's dry its Mr. Cocaine,
a life of an addict will drive you insane, if any of your life remains.
so in long sleeve jacket there I sat ,staring at jack that fag in his hat,
and I thought to my self, clenching my fist.........I must resist
theres got to be more to life than this,
there has got to be more than what I think exists?
then I dropped to my knee's....and prayed for the first time in my life....god reached out to me and then pulled the knife out of my brain the knife called addiction, that made me insane.
all of this time I should have went to him instead of wondering if Im gonna sink or swim.

Strong write. Yes, God is always waiting to perform miracles in our lives. He can't without our permission though. I am glad you finally went to him. He will be there for you as long as you let him be, guiding and loving you.

Very nice right, I have a few poems posted on this site about a higher power I tapped into and found a new way to live. I see you were finally able to see that no self-will or human power would ever stop you from using. Keep up the good work!
