why did you leave
why go
why say
how you loved me so
we had one last night
we were as one
you held me close
next day you were gone
on our last hug
you whispered in my ear
word that i longed to hear
i love you i always will do
we had one last kiss
you were soft on my lips
i never knew how much i would miss
your sweet soft kiss
but i do
now i say to you
i love you
i always will do
sweet and simple
it will stay
in my heart
forever and a day
