We thought that we were perfect
We saw what we wanted to see
And the truth that we believed in
Was that we were meant to be
But we had chocolate kisses
That melted in the sun
And in the brightness of the world
I no longer was the one
We saw the bigger picture
But it now was something new
I was standing all alone
And somewhere, so were you
So we said our bittersweet goodbyes
Deciding each to go our way
Then we kissed one final chocolate kiss
And let the sun melt it away
