Warning

Warning

I warned you- dear friend
when you opened your arms- so inviting
beckoning me into their warmth so close

I warned you dear one
not to expect to much from me ever softly
as you slid you hand down my arms
and under my breast ever slowly

My warning you said you understood dear man
but silently you thought you could
change my mind not caring
I caressed and kissed your body not thinking

My warning I told you all the while dear friend
that my body was all so calmly
that there was for you from me so pretty

You said nothing as we made love
as you often called it

But I warned you dear one
when again and again I want ever wanting
into your open arms ever strong

But I warned you it would end dear man
and you would take only not lightly
what you could get not forever

I warned you, so now that you come dear friend
banging on the locked steel door so loud
around my emotionless heart so old

I warned you I did, with love you claim dear one
you want to hold and cherish me ever bearing
that I was suppose to be yours ever more

My warning you did not listen to dear man
I pitied you and your tears no wanting
and went one last time into your open arms not soulless

My warning you didnt believe dear friend
so in the early light of morning so quietly
I left you in the shadows so proudly

You came running to find me
Only to find I was gone

But I warned you, so when you
came claiming dear one
you would find me that I was yours ever demanding
you weep all the way back home ever sorry

Finding later the message dear man
I left sitting on your table no noticing
You looked longing at my words not what you wanted

For I simple wrote
You should have listened
to my warning ..
Dear Friend

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
