I look at you
and what do I see
the perfect guy
looking at me.
You're not perfect
this I know well
but you're the only one
to dark secrets I tell.
I look at you
and I wish you were mine
a tender embrace
a sweet kiss, so fine.
My heart is bared
up on my sleeve
you know all my faults
and my one pet peeve.
I look at you
and suddenly, I'm free
home at long last
I'm able to be me.
You look at me
I don't know what you think
it scares me sometimes
and my cheeks turn bright pink.
You say I'm special
pretty, smart, sweet...
don't tell me you're lying
like some nasty ol' cheat.
Tell me you love me
that's what I long to hear
tell me you need me
take away my dark fear.
I'll love you forever
will you love me too?
I want you beside me
when I say, "I do."
Beside me forever
till death do us part
knowing that always
I'll be in your heart.

Mandy,
i know this exact feeling! Im kinda going through all those feeling right now and i love it! i wouldnt trade em for the world. but anyways, back to the poem. Its sooo sweet and a very excellent write! Keep it up.
