Well the long road is at an end
we left the fork miles ago
turning back is impossible
its now a one-way system
the nights we both laid awake
are minutes, hours, days now wasted
even when we had it all
this love we had turned out to be the sourest ive tasted
what has been said
has been muttered
what has been done
has befallen us
there is now no going back
this is it
were gonna die now
the hands that turned to fingers
that pointed at each other
and the mouths that kissed each other
now speak of horrible words at one-an-other
so now i must i pick up me pen
and brush away the cob-webs
to write you one last time
we did love
we did embrace
i loved every second of you
your beautiful eyes
the softness of your skin
hah, even the sound of your voice
made me melt from within
it was love
and i repeat was
i was living in a void
and you led me astray
because you didnt tell me to stop
i was on the road to your school
and because of that, its all gone to pot
the billion reasons i stock-piled
the moments we shared are infinite
but now there all behind us
why even both to wish them back
LovingCritters showed me the new light
i realised i was stupid
she told me just to forget
she taught me to accept
and that exactly what i did
Im sorry i have to write like this
but it must be done to rid you from my system
the past year was very good to me
but ended in my worst week
never had my heart felt that bleek
but then again we were perfect
with one exception
were talking about me
and nearly time to put down my weary pen
but i can never love you the same way
ever again

I'm glad what I said could help you some
Don't be indecisive now....hang in there....make your decision and then let go. This was a very good poem......shows much reasoning on your part......I enjoyed seeing what you felt and how you decided to let it go!
