Giving Advice

Contributed by CodyJ on Wednesday, 14th July 2004 @ 09:39:37 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

Sitting here,
hearing voices,
seeing choices,
feeling hopeless,
lost in thought
and left so voiceless
that only whispers do pervade
to serenade
my cavalcade
of friends who come
and look for gold,
it's getting old,
I'm getting cold,
losing these things
I've tried to hold.
Taking liberties
where there are none,
lost it all in the pursuit of fun,
lost it all and then some.
Exploding in my heart and mind,
exploding way before my time,
repressed ideas just remind
of feelings tasted so divine
that got buried in the altruism,
this sacrifice, this indecision,
this scraping just to make a living,
has put my heart
in lost remission.
Standing here,
answering voices,
neglecting choices,
benign hopeless,
at least the company is boisterous,
as I begin my serenade.
