They say i can't love you
they say i can't be with you
they think that just because
we're two different races
our hearts can't feel the same
so what if your black
and so what if im white
just because they say it's wrong
doesn't make what they say is right
my family says they'll disown me
if i love you
well i guess i'll have to live with that
because i'm never taking it back
the civil right laws
were supposed to give blacks thier freedom
but the world is still discriminating agianst them
we are an example that different races can get along
but why can't they see whats going on
i know wat my heart says
and it says that i love you
and that you love me too
why can't the world get a clue
that me and you
will never be through!!!!

| I agree its horrible how blacks are discriminated its horrible that anyone is discriminated you dont choose who you do and dont love your heart chooses that for you |
