Depression

Contributed by slayer_015 on Friday, 16th July 2004 @ 03:16:00 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

The day is colorless, but the night is more so,
As the depthless chasm of my cracked soul,
Ever- widens in the dewless twilight.

Away!

Away with you,poisonous viper,
Steely eyed snake,
Creeping from the secret places in my mind,
Where lightless worlds turn on jagged axes,
Around gelid suns of black flame.

Crawl back into your subconscious aperture,
Leave me to myself, alone and unsolicited,
By the ominous wares, carried in each
Burning drop of mind-numbing venom,
Left seething from your aversive fangs.

Away!

Melancholy demon of the devil's desire,
Born of woe and wretchedness,
From the womb of hell's own belly,
Where lifeless heads forever bow,
To maleficent gods on scarlet thrones.

Away!

Uncloud my mirthless sight,
Stained grey by pallid dreams of bygone days,
Spent clinging to despondent tragedies,
Left rotting by my ripening acumen,
In the rapture of youth.

Away!

Vile vermin,

Away!!!
