Oblivion

Contributed by Ceres on Saturday, 17th July 2004 @ 09:57:07 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

I stare into oblivion.
Why is everything so empty?
Then the memories come back, one by one.
Betrayed by so called friends, I lingered in the streets, the rain lashing at my back.
Where''d the feeling go, the feeling of being loved?
It walked beside them, out the door.
My home seemed bare to me then.
Nothing fit like it used to.
I wandered the rooms trying to find some remenant of the caring I used to feel.
The memories, they were all lies now.
Through the oblivion rings the sound of a gun shot, the sound of which brought me here.

hey this is really good, I know what it feels like to have friends betray you in an instant and not even know why. My best friend and I both know what it is like. I really like this poem. Would you mind if I printed it out and placed it on my wall???

Wow. I loved it. Very sad and you're right, the darkness did rub off. But it's wonderful. Thank you.

Very sad. I can understand it. But keep your head up! Follow the Light.
Well done.
