Sunny side up

Contributed by nexxa on Sunday, 18th July 2004 @ 01:56:00 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

Im tired of the ***** you put me thru
I love the way you always include me.

Im tired of the anguish that comes from you
I love the way your emotions are free.

Im tired of the pain that pulls at you
I love the way you feel everything.

Im tired of fighting just to love you
I love the way we were meant to be.

Im tired of the silence that you keep
I love the way your voice is enthralling.

Im tired of the tears I have to weep
I love the way you shed the same for me.

Im tired of the distance in your eyes
I love they way they sparkle and shine

Im tired of the space in our lives
I love all the ways you are mine.

Yes, there really are always two sides tho we rarely cast a glance at the opposing one. Sad, because sometimes if we would just consider the other view many problems could be avoided.

i feel like im stalking ritas comments on your posts =]

very well done. an excellent rhyme scheme that isnt stagnant. a poem that you can predict is no poem you want to read. i love some of the irony in this. the more elements of writing you bring in to a piece the more complex it is. and with complexity you add more sides to the spectrum for interpretations. and remember do not change anything because of anybody, because it wouldnt be you that was living/writing; it would be them. =]

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
