Lady Vamp

Contributed by Monkeybones99 on Monday, 19th July 2004 @ 11:14:26 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

She came to me on a dark and stormy night
Said she could change everything with just one bite.
If I would give myself to her
Something in her eyes, I couldn't resist the lure.

She talked of never ending life
Talked of no more pain and strife.
Told me that I could be her immortal beloved
And at the time I was feeling so unloved.

Yet she forgot to mention everything
How the voices of the lives I took would sing.
The hunger and this everlasting need
To take the blood of the innocent just to feed.

How thier bodies would go limp in my arms
She only spoke of all the charms.
All she did was mention the perks
She never spoke of the darkness that lurks.

She never told of the sweet taste
Or of the lives I would waste.
So now I'm trapped here in this life
I no longer feel pain but I create strife.

Had I know on that fateful night
That this would be my eternal flight.
I would never have turned my head
I would have died quietly in my bed.
