Scared of the dark

Contributed by 8kiwi8 on Monday, 19th July 2004 @ 05:40:04 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

You woke me up in the dark, holding my arm
You were crying, crying help
Your beautiful face had been cursed with the red from inside you

You were crying

I was hopeless and helpless, I felt so ashamed that you needed me and all i could bring myself to do was cry

You were crying

It hurt so much to see you in this form,
hurt so much my heart couldn't handle another droplet of pain before it exploded, I thought it had

You were crying

You were scared
The tears gushing out of your eyes like a waterfall into the cave screaming help showed your fear, showed how unhappy you are alone

...must've been Angel Falls

But you came to ME
You came back to ME
You cried to ME for help and all i could do was nothing

I woke up in the dark
Were you really there?

Are you crying?

Were you screaming for help?
Are you scared?
People tell me you're in a better place

Are you crying?

Do you need my help?
I'm hopeless, I'm helpless, I'm afraid to look into the dark, blank space infront of me where you were hysterical, into the dark, blank space infront of me where you could be hysterical

Where are you?
