"Politics Are Overrated" Elections held and votes awarded To the biggest liar and misleader Do you know us or do you care? You play for the position, not the people The title is what you want, not the job Mayor, Senator, Governor, President What's the difference? You're all frauds misguiding the public We need the truth, not your lies We see through you; You're perfectly clear You can't cheat us, if we're all informed But we're not; So you fool us all

exactly true, in most cases.
worse, people are told what to believe, and what their options are to vote. no one really has any say in anything. except politicians who do not live in the real world. |

I like the sentiment even if the piece itself needs a bit of work.
Politicians are puppets. Some of them are more obvious in their insincerity while others are professional weasels and a little more difficult to see through. The images change a little but the essence of hypocrisy remains the same. It really is insulting!
