Got our song on repeat Headphones to my ear. Its 1:30 in the morning, I cant let my parents hear. Its been awhile since Ive seen you And there is still more time to come. But one more week wont kill me At least I wont have to act dumb. Still cant quite understand What exactly your words meant Sad to think Im hopeful After how that phone call went. But then there was that message, Who knows? I might be single someday. Whats that supposed to mean? How can I just step out of your way? Fade out and rewind back Listening to Dave in your van Watching your body as you play guitar The way your toes looked in the sand Another night of worthless tears How long will I have to wait? The sting I face in settling for less Is the only recognizable trait I wish you could cry too I wish youd let her go But you like her, youre happy I guess thats all that I should know. ...Dont let me get away.
