Their fingers brushed electrically,
His eyes were soft,
Hers were hard and cool,
Hiding emotions, she knows she's a fool,
He would give freely,
She turns away,
He can feel her leaving him,
With each passing day,
As she turns to leave,
His heart starts to break,
She fights back tears,
With each breath she takes,
He moves toward her quickly,
She turns away,
The sobs try to escape,
She holds them at bay,
The emotions inside,
He'll never know,
"I don't love you. Let me go."
She turns away.

| Cool poem, I like how it was written, and the somewhat subtle closing that gives a hint of her true feelings. Nothing more needed to be said. My kind of read. |
