I can't take your whispers anymore
Do you think I can't hear you
through this thin wall?
I need to cut
To feel this pain
How else will I know that I am real?
Am I?
How would you know?
Your whispers tell me nothing
They force me
Beneath blankets
Hidden with my knife
Make me cry myself to sleep
Just leave me alone
I don't need your help
My mind will reason
With my heart
Just don't interfere
I'll handle my sanity
Make the whispers stop
I'll get through this on my own

| I feel your desperation in this poem...It's good to know you don't feel the need to cut yourself anymore, but I do understand. Writing is good therapy, and you should keep it up cause you're also talented at it...a friend of mine says"bleed it on paper, you'll feel better"...so true. Thanks for sharing your work. |
