Let the Hammer Fly

Ride down Ocean Parkway
on a summer night,
suspended between
earth and sky
on a thin metal frame,
flying on two wheels,
accelerating
until the trees and shrubs
along the roadside blur,
and the broken white
lines blend into one.

You are Thor
riding a cloud,
thunder rolls
in your wake.
