i came into this world a girl with soul
and nearly left it beaten into the ground
with no one to care for me no one to love
but, almost as if fate had wanted it this way,
two offbeat souls meeting for the first time
recognized this bond of love and shelter
inside each other's arms
so now i have put away the shackles
of hatred, fear, avarice, and pain
and locked new chains around my legs....
for now i belong to you
and what you need from me
i can only hope i can give to you
for you are everything to me
and this sweet imprisonment
inside the boundaries of love
i would never dare to forsake...
your green eyes are my captors
and your love is my jailer...
and however i try to break free
i'm not sure i would want to anyway
for in your sweet prison
i have found my freedom
and if that's an oxymoron, so be it...
i kind of like these paradoxes anyway

I know things will last, they are bound to. Blue, keep writing poetry, I've found it's a wonderful way to show emotions and they can be hard to show sometimes. You're great, luv you muchos friend.
