Overwhelming, all-consuming like nothing before, in my heart and in my soul; True love arrived at first sight, with no hope for it to ever be whole. Love came in September, why not in May? When spring was in glorious bloom, It came at the wrong time, When life had left it no room; All that it gives me is questions of why? Why did it appear to me now? Its yearning at once makes me cry, True love arrived in its glory today, There is nothing at all I can do, It wasnt there when I searched years ago, When I desperately needed it so, I settled for less as I thought that was it, That love was the best I could do, Yet now I know that it should have been more.

Starts out sweet, ends with a bit of twist, I think. |

That's a great poem.
It has a lot of sadness, but it's expressed so passionately and beautifully, it goes straight to the heart. |
