My tears silently roll down my cheek But I don't feel them anymore How does someone like you make me so weak? I've often wondered, how many tears can these eyes store?
You bring me down everyday I see it in your eyes that you're not regretting The pain you've inflicted within me will stay While these eyes are crying
These weeping eyes look to you Your eyes are so unkind Forget about love, because it's not true Will your eyes watch as I leave this life behind?
I'm not just an object to vent your frusterations on Someone just lying themselves down for the slaughter You know, I'm full of pros, not just cons After all, I am your daughter
So lock me away into your heart Don't just love me in your cold way Come on, let's give it a new start Tomorrow is another day

Awww, this poem reminds me a lot of my relationship with my mom. But even though it hurts not to have a loving bond with your mother doesn't mean you can't find happiness elsewhere. So just hang in there, you'll find a way to feel better again. I can tell this poem came from your heart. Nice job. |

A depressed, confessional tone gives way to hopefulness by the end--a willingness to look beyond past differences, and to share the loving relationship you long for. This is Redemption at work, and the power behind your poem. Good show! -KAC- |
