My Dear Children

Contributed by Seans_Girl on Friday, 23rd July 2004 @ 01:24:19 AM in AEST
Topic: ChildrensPoetry

My dear children
Inside my big belly you wait
I can't wait until you come
Counting off till the due date

Hot summer days
Forty pounds more
Stretch marks from hell
Even walking is a chore

Every step I take
I feel my back is going to crack
Sorry about that
At least i'm not in an amniotic sac

Barely eighteen
With two babies on the way
I wouldn't be surprised
If my hair were turning gray

I couldn't do it without you
I love you so much Sean
You mean everything to me
Now go mow the lawn

So much to be done
When you have so little time
Expensive as can be
When I only have a dime

One baby, two babies
Thank god there isn't three
We'll love you both so much
And be the best parents we can be

Being an identical twin, I know what my mother went through. Congrats on your babies.
