Living to the Next Day

Living to the Next Day

Life is overrated
Everything underestimated
Death so wanted

That you fade away
And lose what made you stay
Around for another day
You do nothing but pray
For your life to end some way

Trying to make it to the next day
Trying to find yourself some way
But you lost your reason to stay
You want to die and fade away

Nothing's holding you back
From dying today
Your life's already over
And there's no reason to stay
As you try to make it
To the next day
For a new reason to stay
For something better
To come your way

Nothing's holding you back
But the words in your head
The words you invented
The ones that are killing
Everything that makes you live

Nothing's holding you back
But the words in your head
The ones you wanted to hear
Throughout your life of fear

Nothing's holding you back
Except your hope in life
The promise taken by the past

Nothing's holding you back
Not even what you could do in life

just thought i'd let you know i read it. you did a good job putting the emptiness into it, at least that's the feeling i got from it. i like your rhyming in it. you did a good job.

That was almost like a mantra or a statement of go-ahead kill yourself, kind of scary there and a powerful write. Structure was fine I would experiment with other techniques besides end rhyme. Look forward to more from you E9
Thank you for your words
