Playful Fairies make the colours of the rainbow
Painting the rain clouds bright is what they know
By hanging their washing on clouds after a stormy day
Bright shirts and dresses hung every which way
Up, down all over the dull grey clouds they fly
So when you look and see a rainbow in the sky
A rainbow of yellow, red, green and blue indigo
Splashes of colour making the storm clouds glow
It is the Fairies bright clothes painting clouds so gaily
You and I may wish the fairies did their washing daily.
