JUST SAY IT, PLEASE!

Contributed by Robert_Edgar_Burns on Tuesday, 16th July 2002 @ 08:53:25 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

I know it grieves you darling
For me to have to ask,
If you love me when you see me.
But is it too hard a task?

For that is just how you are,
But this is how I am.
I really need to hear you say
You love me as your man.

You say it gets redundant,
And smells of overkill.
You say it has less meaning,
Each time you say it still.

But to me it is the perfume
Of natures sweetest bloom.
And each time that I dont hear it,
Then I leave you feeling gloom!

I do not take them lightly,
When I hear those words you say.
How often would I hear them?
Well darling, every day!

There shall come another day,
When our lives shall have to part.
I hope you never feel regrets
From the words left in your heart!

Thats why I always tell you,
Each time I see your face.
For it just might be the last time,
As the day I leave this place.

You havent told me lately,
Unless Ive dug them out.
But more than anything else you do,
I need to hear you say, I love you!
