I Ache

In the pit of my stomach,
a hollow, airy space
deep, deep within,
the pit of my stomach,
I ache,
in the center of my womb,
a dull, annoying place,
empty, empty within,
the center of my womb,
I yearn,
just to be secure.
How do I even tell him,
I'm ready for you?
I ache,
in the beat of my heart,
a steady, slow pace,
tickin', tickin' within,
the beat of my heart.
It is your voice,
echoing to me,
calling to me,
within these shallow walls....
Mommy.
