In the midst of emptiness
When feeling hollow is all you know
And the darkness brings only crisis
As alone into the night you go
Dreams really do make a difference
In the same way that the constant
Drip, drip of rain will eventually fill
The bucket, the continued insistence
Of hope will make a pained heart still
Dreams really do bring possibility
And the moment a dream is spoken
Whispered delicately across the air
Ones heart is no longer really broken
If another dreamer is waiting there
Dreams really do create connections
In between the dark and light
As the shadows fall away instantly
When two dreamers as one can recite
Identical visions with shared clarity
Dreams really do come true

That struck me as beautiful. I don't use that descriptor often, but it is certainly worthy of its inclusion within this comment.
I love dream poetry - and this one's particularly appealing.

Beautiful....absolutely amazing.
To dream a dream, to share a dream, to have the same dream as another...this is why we dream.
Amidst the common, everyday lives we live..to find the dreamer that dreams as we do..is to find the one, perhaps that we have been dreaming of.
This is a spectacular write, SNM...truly, spectacular....

I loved this one, SNM! From the message, to the imagery, to the unique rhyme scheme, to the beautiful wording . . . I'd call this piece pretty near flawless. Not to mention possibly the single best optimistic poem I've yet read :).

Very well written, and assembled. Your ability to translate the pathos as well as the longing for something better, once again shines through. I have been," having at " my little legal problem, and away from this "cyber isle" of peace I enjoy so much. I read:" no regrets"

Out of lonliness comes possibility...there's that hope again!
This one raises up those feelings in me that are hard to put into words, sort of a happy, sad, anxious, magical feeling. Like wriring a great poem...or making a new friend... |

I am truely amazed by you my friend, in every poem there is a message that everyone takes away with them, this ones makes my heart cry with joy and my soul sing to the heavens
'Dreams do come true'
Some nights i dream about a poem that has a message so strong that i cant get it out of my mind because no matter what happens to me, thats always there, i guess i can believe in that saying now because im going to carry this poem about with me inside for the rest of my life
Perfection is a dream drempt up by a dreamer
But as you say, 'dreams to come true', and i can see it right here in your brilliance

Oh yes yes. another one of those softly enchanting writes I can completely
fall into .. I, too, believe in the power of dreams .. they comfort and caress
us and give us more hope than we could ever dare to incite in ourselves
soley on our own.
