I read your poem,
The one you wrote
For me.
Where'd I go so wrong,
You asked.
I don't know,
But in all I've done
I've tried to do right.
But the only mistake
I've seen I've made
That didn't have to be made
Was when we were near,
We were so close.
For two years,
You stuck by me,
Even through thick and thin,
Even when I didn't want you to.
But it took most
Of those two years
To understand
Exactly how much you mean
To me.
But when I knew,
You knew.
Two years
Before I realized
I felt the same for you
As you do for me.
I miss you so much,
I miss your warm embrace,
Your loving smile.
I love you.
