Menegroth

Contributed by Ethereal_Engine on Wednesday, 28th July 2004 @ 12:13:32 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

Deep underground below ancient woods is found a cavern
A cavern so vast that waves of bouncing sound seem to echo ever far down
Down below, beyond basins of liquid so pure illuminated by soft glowing light
Light shining from the world above through great stone shafts carved with love

With flora sprouting along the walls reaching for moonlight to bloom their buds
Paintings and script written tenderly with elegant hand greet the flora on their path to the stars
Even here the stars can be seen adding their beauty to the realm beneath
The air is cool damp like mist forming droplets of dew on grass so blue

Festivals of song sung by fair elvaan tongue ring through the walls
Instruments slowly strung in sweet shades like morning rays parting cloudy skies
Enchanted food and blessed wine lining ornate tables for all to dine
Celebration hearty and pure like the land of the Valar now locked behind treacherous door

Long was this realm safe from all war protected by power unlike any before
Wicked curse upon gold entangled the king enraging mighty dwarves who broke down the doors...
The kingdom soon fell then crafted again an oath of one ancient and strong kept the caves not standing for long
Determined the elves restored their realm once more this time for certain ever wary of dwarves

The Thousand Caves and its people the last kingdom of times ever sung in reverence and lure
