In Mainz, A Lovely Just Born Rainbow Innocent Kids Playing In A Quaint Park Stores That Bustle With People
In Mainz, I Hear Busy, Speeding Cars Whiz By The Sweet Sound Of Children Rushing Down A Crowded Street Rain Trickles Down In A Light Shower Onto Filled Roads
In Mainz, I Smell The Life Of Budding Roses The Aroma Of Fresh Bread Tempts The Streets Gas From Filled Cars Threatens Your Breath
In Mainz, I Feel The Cold, Steel Rails On Lonely Stairs Rushing Wind Whips Through Me, Chilling My Skin At Last I Feel The Invigoration Of Being In Mainz

As though I'd traveled there, myself! Great word-images paint a picture of the place in vivid tones. From the sight of children playing in a "quaint park," to the trickling of rain; from the sweet scent of fresh bread, to the pungent aroma of gas which "threatens your breath," the descriptions are alive with detail. I must be careful reading such poetry--else I, the Travel Bug's next-bitten, will be. Good job! -KAC- |

Nice work - you capture well the essence of the Mainz- I spent a few days there myself way back, and thought this rang true. |
