My head ignites
I slowly burn
my body crumbles in the wind
this match head is my life
As you light me I will glow
I burn so slowly
but my existance begins to fade
I am this matchead that burns
and crumbles into nothing
You wave me around like a fool
You don't know I can burn
My life is this matchead
and I can scorch the virgin earth
You can't snuff me out
I will burn forever
even if its a slow death
As you light me I will glow
I burn so slowly

I am this matchead that burns
and crumbles into nothing
You'll see me in the night
I won't disappear
You can't make me go away
You use me like everything else
You use me to light your stick of death
and try to throw me away
but you forgot that
I won't go away
I am the match head
you see in nightmares
I glow with evil
and never die with pain
I set your individuality on fire
I burn your existance down to the ground
I watch you melt
I am this match head
that set up your funeral
As you light me I will glow
I burn so slowly
but my existance begins to fade
I am this matchead that burns
and crumbles iaway into the night
....as it goes
I was once a living thing
but now I'm a little instrument of death
I'm stored in your darkest reaches
waiting to breathe...
...or to watch your last breath

| So, what are you a tree! I can't guess it but the subject matter seems to talk about the destruction of nature and life if we are not careful how we handle it. Very cool poem I look forward to reading more. |
