From casual hellos
And a few stolen glances
To longing stares
And subtle advances
Both promised to another
But yearning the forbidden
Trying desperately
To keep their feelings hidden
This innocent friendship
And these harmless words
Now hiding behind closed doors
Hoping not to be heard
Both taken by suprise
With the other's infidelity
Their secret little fantasies
Had now become reality
More perfect than imagined
They found one another to be
Away with the old, they must do
To leave only he and she
Now more than just friends
Yet much more than lovers
Beginning their life together
Focused only on each other
In one another
True love they have found
Their hearts now whole
And eternally bound
They take with them
Their lessons learned
And carefully pursue
Dreams long for yearned
For out of the shadows
They found a hint of light
A slight glimmer of hope
That all will be right
