and she awakes to another late night call
shaking hands reach to send and recieve
no surprise and no signs of life on the other line
her hand trembles and reaches for the gun under the pillow
safety off
memory clicks
Did she check the backseat of her car
and lock her front door
scenario's flash
nightmares live
This is a night in the life of a victim
with wolves at the doorstep
