A Humble Ending

Contributed by Mortis-Dark on Sunday, 1st August 2004 @ 05:50:33 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Let me rest in pieces.
Beneath the shallow willow tree.
Soak me in gasoline.
Light me with your ciggerette.
Give me the light I so desperatly need.
I dont want to feel anything anymore.
I give up you win.

Go away like all the other.
Your lie's they are my sheets.
They keep me warm.
Beneath the ground.
Where I was laid.
Where I remain.

One lonely paragraph sums me up.
I wont forget what you said.
This humble ending.
Dont seem so real after all.

My fingers scrap against the ground.
In the grave you dug for me.
I guess I wasnt so different after all.
I guess I cant tell a lie anymore.

I guess all the truth is in yours.
Everything has gone to hell.
I never get what I want anyway.
It keeps my secrets.
It marks my grave.

I hope the spring finds you well beneath the sheets.
Cause I'll be here beneath your flowers.
They keep me warm.
My heart is burning.
So I give up and you win.
I dont deserve this.
Oh well who am I trying to kid.
