Disunite
Dance lightly on the shadow of the woman that was me. Knowing now you found it right to throw away the key.
Caress my soul in wanting from the terrors felt at night. Knowing there would be no way to hide my horrid flight.
Ease my aching body from the broken pain of fist. Pounding so relentlessly through virtue's viral mist.
Dry tears of my calling when the cattle prods my heart. Know I gave you all I had of me right from the start.
Bandage broken branches where they fought to hold you tight. Grasping at those wasted straws that would never make us right.
Release me from this bondage that hampers my heart's life. Take away the simple words that made me your wife.

So much sadness in this verse. Endings can be heartwrenching and you have captured the pain and sorrow with brilliance.
