mourning

Topic: goodbyepoetry

im mourning for you
the love we had
the whispers and soft kisses
and the warmth i felt as you touched me
not just on the outside but on the inside too
i believed in you
as i still do
i'll give up everything to find you
i'll let the darkness take over me
just to see you
as i lay beside your grave
and my tears wet the soil
the fresh burried earth
the white flowers beside me
the maggots
i imagine feeding on your flesh
and i smile
you will become what you always wanted
a part of the world
the soft earth, the air we breathe, the water we drink
but i cant help thinking
of life without you
facing things on my own
without someone to hold my hand
and i close my eyes
and i mourn
i cry
and my heart splits
and inside im dying
the blood rushes from my lips
and i lay
crushed inside and out
the flowers weep for me and you
and cry a frozen tear
and as i cry the last tear
you hand holds mine
and i smile
as i mourn no more
i love...
