Please Don't Leave Me Here

Contributed by pixie on Monday, 2nd August 2004 @ 02:00:57 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Please dont die & leave me here,
Who will be there to dry my tear?
Please dont leave me here alone,
I need to hear your warming tone.

You & I should never part,
As it would undo my precious heart,
I would lose my will to carry on,
I never want to hear that you are gone.

If you died then my soul would follow suit,
Id never replace you with a substitute,
Willingly I would come with you,
Please open the gates & let me through.

I would miss you oh so much,
Forever longing to feel your touch,
But you would be in a far away land,
Never again to be close at hand.

Please dont leave or go away,
By my side is where I want you to stay,
I couldnt survive without my very best friend,
Please say youll stay with me until the end?

I know it might not count for much but I lost my dog. I felt lost for a while when she had to be put down. Maybe in a way I can kind of relate to this.

This poem was really touching. Cuz I have a best friend who has been there for me through EVERYTHING and I have no idea what I'd do if she wasn't here by my side. Great Poem.

This one just opened the flood gates for me.

Do you remember the song entitled-"If you ever leave me, won't you take me with you?"

Your poem doesn't bear a resemblence to it but it just brought the song to my mind.

Very talented you are Pixie.
