Shattered Fairytale

I am living in a shattered fairytale,
A place where all I do is fail,
A place where pain engulfs me,
I never again will be able to feel free.
No white knight coming to my rescue,
No-one here to help me pull through,
I am a Princess without her Prince,
I need to shield the hurt that makes me wince.
I no longer have hold of my dreams,
I have lost my balance so it seems,
They have all just slipped away,
Left me with such a price to pay.
Why cant I have a happy ending,
Instead of looking at what needs mending,
All I want is my Prince by my side,
A forever lover in which I can confide.
Where is my love on his white steed,
Willing & ready to fulfil my every need,
For me the ever lonely Princess,
Who will never feel her heart undress.
Here I am in my shattered land,
Feel myself sinking into the quick sand,
No-one is here to pull me out,
My troubled mind is pained with doubt.
Princesss arent supposed to feel like this,
But to feel the warmth of a lovers kiss,
The only things I feel are loneliness & woe,
Love is something of which Ill never know.
