Trying To Look On The Bright Side

Contributed by pixie on Monday, 2nd August 2004 @ 02:03:55 PM in AEST
Topic: hbadday

Trying to look on the bright side,
As we walk against the tide,
Nothing seems to be going our way,
But we still hope for that brighter day.

It feels like every time we move on,
Things have already changed or gone,
We seem to keep on falling down,
But we pick each other up off the ground.

I am trying not to be negative
But it feels like our sun has taken a sedative,
Its so hard when nothing goes right,
It seems no-one listens to our plight.

All we ask if for one small break,
Is that too much to ask for heavens sake?
I tell myself that things will be just fine,
Everything seems to take such a long time.

I feel as though a spanner has been thrown,
Into our world that we call our own,
Things are building as the weeks go by,
Sometimes I feel like sitting down to cry.

I know life is never an easy task,
But give us an inch thats all I ask,
I am not really asking for a lot,
Just kick us the ball & let us take a shot.

Hold on to whatever hope or faith you have left. With every bad turn a good turn will arise.

Sometimes that lucky break is when you are hanging on by a mere string.

You are trying to look on the bright side and you have poemed your emotions beautifully.
