The road is long The lights are out Reaching my destination seems hopeless But I persist The metaphorical pot of gold is what I seek If I can seize it from the leprechaun who holds it dearly The road is filled with speed bumps Each hoping to slow me down in my conquest During my journey, other more clear cut paths emerge But I stay on this road As soon as I get a glimps of my pot of gold I see the leprechaun grasping my treasure Toying with me His grip is tight I think about turning away but the glow of the gold is very inviting. So here I stand and the end of the road with my last chance at you. Should I take it?

So here I stand and the end of the road with my last chance at you.
Should I take it?
In my opinion, those two lines are the best of the poem. I'm in that same situation right now, so I totally relate to this. Good write. |

Great write
I like the part that says
Reaching my destination
seems hopeless
I've felt that way so many
times, Keep em 'coming
I liked reading this alot

Nice write. The symbolism reminds me of life itself. |
