Young Boy

Contributed by poet_of_anger on Monday, 2nd August 2004 @ 11:34:44 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

You see a young boy
All alone in a corner
You see him crying
They tell you he's a mourner

His parents have left him
But his tears have not parted
He has lived on the streets
He once stole from your garden

Can you condemn him
Can you condemn this poor child
For what had happened
When he is still a child

He knows the word lonely
He lives it everyday
He feels all the eyes on him
He thinks that it is supposed to be that way

He knows no patience
He is always in trouble
For things he is framed for
His future looks dismal

One day he vanished
No one noticed he was missing
But he had left this world
He left this world wishing

That they had just given him a chance
That his parents had only loved him
But he knew deep inside that he was just a boy
A boy that had been left out, thrown down, spat on, despised, forgotten

I think you did a great job on rhyming this poem. And it look like you explained really good what you wanted to say. Keep up the good job and God Bless...
