untitled

A look into the mirror, presented her with this:
An unpleasant appearance, and some pounds she wouldnt miss
Turning to the side, the picture got much worse
Her profile was disgraceful; there must be some big curse
Standing in her bra and panties, she broke down crying there
Wishing for some miracle, thinking life was so unfair
The blimp she saw in the mirror, weighed only one-hundred-thirty pounds
But to her she looked two-thirty, the difference is profound
She ran into the bathroom, quick before it was too late
Stuck her finger down her throat, in an instant there was everything she ate
Her mom knocked on the door, and asked if she was okay
Never questioned the answer, until this very day
As she lost a couple pounds, compliments poured in
They didnt faze her much; she would die to be more thin
One day she decided, they were going much to slow
She wanted to shed pounds faster, but how she didnt know
When she got to school, she ditched her breakfast in the trash
Stuck to lunch and dinner, but that didnt last
She hasnt eaten lunch now, in way too long to say
But the pounds are dropping fast now, theres no going astray
After dinner she excuses herself, and calmly walks up the stairs
Up into the bathroom, herself she now prepares
Her mom gets a hunch, and goes up to check on her
Hears her in the bathroom, now everythings a blur
Shes checked into a center; that forces her to eat
All because she wanted to be skinny, but this was her one last defeat

A well-composed verse about a sensitive issue. You manage rhyme very well, and tackle the subject matter with tact.

Thanks for sharing and welcome to YPDC.
