The Lucid dream

Topic: ChristianPoetry

Darkness steals my vision without asking,
And I cascade into the depths of a dream
Scared and perhaps somewhat knowing on what will come,
But the ways of the mind are always a mystery
I fall into a world of light and darkness,
Such is my life in reality
I walk upon a long road,
In the middle of all the madness
One side is the dark,
Filled with obscene things
Demonic prostitutes, all lined up to take me
Creatures with no name
Horrific images of the past, present and what is to come
The other side, however, is the light
Filled with happiness, hope, and love
Celestial beings lure me in with their beauty
Their heavenly music, and their kind smiles
Deceived by these things before,
Men with their feign virtuousness and kindness,
All to rob me of my innocence
Just one touch, they say
The words echo through the darkness,
And the demons chant it
Death licks its lips hungrily,
Waiting, always waiting for me to reach the edge
And every moment, I venture closer to it
Embracing the darkness, the endless fear
They laugh,
As I gradually walk towards the shadows
But a firm hand grasps my shoulder,
Seizing me in place
Fear tears inside of me,
As I look up, impatiently waiting for my fatality
Stunned, to find that I am blinded by a glorious luminosity...
A pleasant face peers down on me,
Beautiful and flawlessly pure
I am consumed in awe and a sense of trust
The demons hiss words of fury,
Knowing that they will not win this fight
Praying to God incessantly,
That this is not a game, but reality
With a song-like laugh,
The heavenly being says, This is very much real.
I take His hand,
And He showed me to a land of promise and light
Not to the dark anymore, even though it visits me sometimes,
In the confinements of my mind
But He is always there to guide me back,
To where I truly belong
In the ever-lasting light of God
And I wake up,
To the same, heedless life I continue living in
But I finally found hope in this deep void of mine,
That is now filled with love and knowing
I have finally accepted you into my existence
Thank you, Lord, my God in Heaven

Awesome. I like this last part alot because it's like you have accepted life for what it is. God is always here in every moment, reminding us to come back and listen. I hope that you can remember this dream you have had when you feel like all is lost. And I hope you can remember that you are not alone.

Be True,
zenmind
