None of this seems right
And I know that no one will believe me
But after spending so many nights alone
I realized that Im better on my own
While you were running the boardwalk
I sat at home and tried
To get enough motivation
Instead I just sat there and cried
And dont get me wrong
I guess its not so bad
But I cant take this anymore
Even though youre the best I ever had
And Ill always remember
Meeting you one early November
And it just so happened to be
That you and I were members
Both since late that year September
And you had never even noticed me
As the months flew by,
Our bond just seemed to grow
You were so unlike anyone
Whom I know
But as spring came coming
Our problems grew
And thats when you became
The one I no longer knew
Who cares what they say
Ive known it for years now
I just lied to them all and to myself
Though Im not sure how
It was a mess
And became a catastrophe
Not only did I lose a friend
I lost all dignity
And Ill always remember
Meeting you one early November
And it just so happened to be
That you and I were members
Both since late that year September
And you had never even noticed me
So much for what I know
Im admitting now
That you need to go
