I wake up in the morning, still alive.
And I havn't got your starvation problem.
But still I find a reason to complain.
I'm a modern day fool, blind to the truth.
I go to work and I moan about my day.
But I don't have your disease in me.
I find a reason to say "My life is *****"
But that reason is nothing compared to yours.
I close my eyes,
and I close my mind,
to what is going on around me, in this cruel world today.
I light a match,
and I light a cigarette,
but there is no such light at the end of your tunnel of hope.
I should open my heart, then I would see life through your eyes.
I'd see your pain and your suffering,
see the way it feels to really be down.
I have to open my heart, and see life through your eyes.

Really good poem, and advice to anyone who reads this. We all need to stop and think, "Is are life really all that bad?" because god knows its probably worse for someone else. Thankyou for posting this. great peice.
