When One Is Not Enough

Contributed by thumbsucker on Wednesday, 17th July 2002 @ 06:48:58 AM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

When all you see around you, are angry looks and hurtful stares,
I`ll be there beside you. We`ll show them you have someone who cares.
When you have a long way to fall and it looks like you`ll land hard,
I`ll be your great big fluffy pillow. I wont be caught off guard.

When it seems you`re surrounded and it`s just you against the world,
it`s now the world versus two. Let the stones and insults be hurled.
When the burden you`ve been given, seems more than you can bear,
I`ll already be lightening your load. There`s no need to despair.

If you`ve lost your way and purpose, if your path is dark not bright,
if you`ve fallen through life`s thin ice and are in a serious plight,
I wont jump in with you but I`ll do all I can to get you out.
I`ll always believe in you, in that you can have no doubt.

When you`re feeling ignored, I`ll speak up on your behalf.
When you`re feeling depressed, I`ll try to make you laugh.
If you remember just one thing, remember when I tell you,
when one is not enough, you have the strength of two.

Thanks guys,
(Chrissie, ain`t I a sexist pig?). Hope it`s still okay to respond like this, (I`m having problems sending messages anyways). Three gigglers can get into alot of trouble if the mood strikes them all at once. Gary

Ahh... this poem reminds we of a proverb... "A cord of 3 strands is not easily broken"... it's a wonderful feeling to care about someone this much... and for them to care about you in return. Another great write Gary!
