The Tree
A swaying tree,
an autumns day,
withered leaves
fall away.
Empty branches
resist the wind,
reaching, and waiting,
to bloom again.
Repetitive cycles,
now gloomy gains.
A sullen existence,
with delicate pains.
An evergreen? Never!
But seasons end...
Soon dear tree,
will be spring again.
