Tomorrow

Contributed by KITH on Saturday, 7th August 2004 @ 05:15:17 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I feel that I have lived enough
Have felt both joy and sorrow
Now all is black and burned
Each day I face the same tomorrow.

Daytime I put on my mask
Yes things are good how are you
Nighttime I just wish to die
My workplace lies don't ring true.

I live with a knife inside my chest
We weren't meant to be I see
It twists tighter harder every day
What utter torment that is for me.

Like a death I cry for you
I call your name but in vain
No more are we entwined in rhapsody
Nothing else exists but pain.

Stop this heart from beating
Let this ceaseless agony subside
Without you I am nothing
Bereft destroyed and cast aside.
