Lord of Winter.

The great king of the north sent forth his mighty army of the arctic winds ever southwards, claiming back the land from the golden autumn hordes. Wherever they marched was dusted with the icy frost of victory, and a new winter was born. A line of holly trees stood in silent homage, their shiny green cloaks bejewelled with rubies, and the snow topped hedges, black shoots poking through were the ermine robes for the new ruler to wear, on his victory parade!

I'm a sucker for imaginative nature poetry - all those elemental, seasonal forces transformed into such wonderful imagery. I can't wait for the spring revolution, and the heated diplomacy of Summer!
Very enjoyable read!
