Night and day Sleep now. Let this moment of passion Burn itself out in the circus of your dreams. Lions pacing, maddened and wild-eyed, Leaping from the whip. Acrobats soaring, weightless and trusting, Reaching out their hands. Pure white horses glide thru rings of fire As the ringmaster bows with arms wide And the spotlights scatter. Let your mind find its way Back from entangled need And letting go. Sleep till the memories and passion Merge into one vision And the innocence returns. Awaken to the morning light smiling, Pulling at your nightclothes As one last drop of sweat Sends goosebumps across you And reminds you of my touch.
